For those of you who haven't been to school today, I'd like to repeat an important announcement. Tomorrow will be the last day of class until Monday the 11th of January. You've all earned a nice break and I'm sure everyone would rather stay home during this immense cold. Enjoy your time off, but don't forget to do your homework. I'd like you all to write an essay on winter weather in your home world. Two pages minimum. If your world doesn't have winter, feel free to write about a similar season, or why you believe your world wouldn't suffer from those sort of extreme weather conditions.

Looks like she's planning a snowball fight. With who? Well, anyone who accepts the challenge, really. She's up for normal conversation too, so don't let the snowballs stop you from approaching her.]

[Despite being the busybody for the holidays, Miyabi's been curious about this school thing. Most of what she's learned was back home with her teacher, Ishaku. Painting, philosophy, swordplay, and the ever important Brush Skills she learned mostly from him.

So, hearing about this world's version of education, the tiny painter can't help but be a little curious.]

Ah, madam, what kinds of things do you teach your students?

[If she could learn more about this and other places, Miyabi would like to join when classes start up again. Art would be her forte, of course, but she's willing to try other things, too~]

Ah, we have all sorts of classes. Just the basics, of course. What with all the different worlds, we can't teach anything too specialized. The subjects are history, writing and reading, mathematics, a bit of science, magic and art. There is also a bit of physical education, but as we no longer have a teacher for that class, it's a bit of a flaky subject. Mostly, we encourage students to go outside and play sport-type games.

Ah, I see, I see! [Miyabi nods, looking intently at her journal, smiling after a moment of thought.] If it's not a problem, madam, may I please learn from you? I'm not very good at much of what you said, but I'll do my very best! ♥

You said you'll be starting after a few days...Is it all right if I come then?

Actually, we're taking a winter break. We'll start again on the 11th of January, which is a bit more than two weeks from now. Though if you stop by sooner, I can give you a quick test. Before new students can join the classes, we like to determine how advanced they are, grade wise. Then we'll know what to expect of them. It won't take too long, nor are the questions too specialized.

If you take the test soon, you can start classes on the 11th, along with everyone else.

[Gods, a test. Miya makes a little face, looking a bit worried, but she turns it into a smile. If she could at least learn a little bit more than what she already knew, her previous teacher would be proud, right? And if she tried her best and gave it her all...then that'd be okay. Right?]

Okay, I'll do my very best, teacher! ♥ When can I take the test?

How about you stop by tomorrow, after classes are over? I'll make the necessary preparations for you.

Ah...Will it take a long time?

[She fidgets a little, looking a bit worried. Miya wanted to do something tomorrow night. Something important. And she didn't know if she'd have time for preparations. It'd be a lot of work...]

Oh, there's no need to apologize for something like that. If you have other matters to attend to, I can always reschedule. It shouldn't take more than twenty minutes, though.

Hmm...I-I don't think I can. There will be so many things to be done before the holidays and the ascension of the tiger spirit upon the New year. I have many things to prepare for that celebration. Perhaps the day after, Teacher, I can meet with you?
